Since a lot of people have commented on how much they loved/hated that Kraft "Crumbelievable" spot I referenced a few posts back, I thought I'd also mention this excellent analysis of exactly what makes it so terribly, horribly awful.
Beyond the bastardization of EMF's anthem, what's amazing to me is that they didn't even think ripping off the song was enough - they also felt compelled to add a completely unrelated "Let's get ready to crrrrummmble" off the top.
Something just occurred to me: I bet it pretested really well ("Brand link is through the roof, boss!"). Which would be funny if it weren't probably true.
Hey, thanks for the link! BTW, have you seen the recent commercial for (I believe) Pizza Hut? They were promoting their new Meat Lover's Pizza by changing the Go Go's "We Got the Beat" to "We Got the Meat". Ugh.
