According to Adweek, Agency.com has pulled out of the now infamous Subway pitch. Not for the reasons you might think, at least not publicly. Publicly, they're saying it's because they're now pitching a conflicting business. Riiiiiight. I'm sure it has nothing to do with pissing off the client and being an industry laughingstock.
In related news, even though they're now out of the pitch and you'd think this whole thing would just go away, they picked up on some stuff we said about them a while back and quoted us on their website this morning (and oddly, the website says nothing about their exit from the pitch). This is all getting way too self-referential.
