It's time for another Toronto coffee morning. And never you mind that I haven't got around to posting anything about the last one yet.
Hot beverages + nice people + stimulating conversation + badges = Likemind
Friday October 19
8:00am - 10:00am
Over Easy
208 Bloor Street East
Come. Bring a friend. Bring your mouth and ear(s). Bring an opinion (and if it's your own, that's an added bonus).

Sorry for the extended silence - things got a little crazy over the past week. But lots of posts on the way.
But first, it's time for another edition of likemind Toronto this Friday Sept 21st. Coffee and conversation with some nice people. What could be better?
Same deets as before - 8:00am until around 10am, Over Easy, 208 Bloor St E. Here's a map.
Please come one come all. The last few have been fun. Hope to see y'all there.

We had a nice turnout again this morning for Likemind Toronto. Lovely as always to meet some new people, and meet some others I'd only met virtually like Joseph, Harsh, and Nate. Virtual is fine and all, but in person is nicer.
There's some photographic evidence here.
For details on the next breakfast, watch this space. Or this one. Or this one.

A really fun new business pitch, and some less fun but nonetheless renumerative existing business has gotten in the way of posting for the last week. But I did want to remind our Toronto-based readers of Friday's likemind coffee morning.
8am - 10am

Here's a map.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in person.

For a while, many months ago, we had a semi-regular Toronto coffee morning going which fell by the wayside for reasons that included scheduling conflicts and my own organizational laziness.
I'm pleased to announce that it's back up and running, with a few changes.
One is now we're officially part of the likemind fold (28 cities around the world and counting).
Second is to compensate for my organizational shortcomings, Organic's lovely Audrey Carr has graciously offered to co-host.
And third, as part of likemind, the nice folks at Anomaly NYC will be picking up the tab for the coffee. And who can resist free coffee?
In case you're unfamiliar with the concept, this is an opportunity to meet up over coffee (or other suitable beverage) and chat with some like-minded people. Some of these people work in marketing and communications. But anyone can come. There is no agenda, no speakers. Just conversation.
I hope you can join us.
Friday July 20th
8am-10am
Over Easy - 208 Bloor St W - at Avenue Rd, across from the new ROM - map.

It's been far too long, and I'm finally in town on a Friday... anyone up for a Toronto coffee morning this Friday?
I'm thinking 8:30-10:00am at 7 West. Who's in?

Had a lovely coffee meet-up on Friday. There was Brian, Ari, Mike, Julien and me. And a conversation that ranged from foosball to how agencies get paid.
I must say, I really enjoy these. I like how the digital sphere has facilitated meeting interesting people the real world. And it's refreshing to take some time away from meetings and emails and have a face to face conversation with nice people.
The next coffee morning will be in January. And we really must work on getting some women out next time.
